BVI Seventh day Adventist Primary School Graduation:
The BVI SDA Primary School Graduation
High school is an exciting age for teachers, as high schoolers have unique and varying issues, and are at a very exciting and important time in their lives. With a degree in teaching high school curriculum you could work as a high school teacher.
High school teachers work with students aged 11-17 and generally teach one or two specific subjects. Like other age groups, high schoolers learn in different ways, so teachers must learn several types of instruction, and be able to work with several different types of people. High school teachers have a particularly important job, as many students develop their passion for a particular subject or career because of an influential high school teacher. When teaching for high schoolers, instructors must be prepared to be a mediator, counselor, friend, and disciplinarian, as well as a motivated and motivating teacher. In the BVI requirements for teaching at the High School level include bachelor's degrees, education coursework, licensing exams, criminal background checks. Also here at the BVI Seventh-day Adventist School we pride ourselves in our Christian Education, so that we do not only prepare our students for this world, but also for the world to come. We require that our teachers be full members of a Seventh-day Adventist Church in good and regular standing.
The majority of our high school teachers teach a core subject area such as English and history, but may specialize in a particular specialty of the core area. The need for high school teachers continues to grow as older teachers retire and as the population grows. Employment possibilities are always available at our school
