Sabbath, October 27th, 2007, marked the first of a series of annual services to be held by our school, under the leadership of the new principal, Mr. Wade Tobin. The theme of the day's celebration was "A House of Safety". It was a service in which the entire school staff and a cross-section of the students, participated.

The Sabbath service began with a lively singspiration by a praise team comprising a number of the teachers. The Sabbath School service was based on the scripture 2 Kings 1:2 and 3 and Luke 15:11-32. The mission report was related through a collaborative effort of Mr. Troy Brown, teacher supervisor at the secondary level, and a few secondary students. Other activities that took place were in the forms of a choral speech by Class 5 and ministry in music by Class 2. Additionally, the lesson review was facilitated by Sis. Virginia Creque, a school-involved parent. The highlight of the Midday Service was the sermonette given by students Amal Taylor and Tamara Benjamin. It was a pure delight, to once again see our children, our students, in action for the Lord.

The mission statement of the BVI SDA School states:
"The British Virgin Islands Seventh-day Adventist School is an educational institution operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Churches, to educate students for their responsibilities here and to prepare them for citizenship in the world to come".

The motto, as we all know it, is "We Persevere for Excellence". The performance put forth by our students today displayed their attained excellence.
